Alma Automotive s.r.l. was founded in 2003 by Ing. Davide Moro, engineering professor at the University of Bologna, along with Ing. Fabrizio Ponti, Ing. Nicolò Cavina and Ing. Enrico Corti. All of them are researchers at the Department of Mechanical and Energetic engineering of University of Bologna.
The company was born as an academic spin-off, which means that the founders are still doing academic research in university, along with the activities of Alma Automotive. The strength of our company is the synergy between the vast theoretical knowledge and years of experience in developing applied solutions which take profit from that strong background.
Our headquarters are in the center of Bologna. We have two test facilities, one near our main offices in Bologna, another in the city of Forlì. Each of the laboratories are equipped with an engine test bench, completed by a dedicated real time control system, implementing a Virtual ECU.
